Welcome to the University of Michigan Occupational Safety and Environmental Health (OSEH) Pollution Prevention (P2) Home Page: P2000

The University of Michigan (U-M) campus community is committed to preserving a balance between protecting the health of people and the environment, while accommodating increasingly sophisticated and productive research operations. The faculty, staff and students have demonstrated their commitment to the environment by developing and implementing pollution prevention (P2) projects in teaching and research laboratories, residence halls, and other functional areas of the University such as transportation, utilities and grounds.

P2000: Pollution Prevention Programs at the University of Michigan, is a compilation of numerous P2 initiatives implemented throughout the U-M Ann Arbor campus. It does not reflect all of the proactive P2 programs the U-M has undertaken. Other P2 initiatives will be added to the home page as they are developed. The structure of the home page was developed to provide the viewer with a clear, concise, compilation of P2 facts within each section. The physical layout of the home page provides the capability to print individual sections, and use them as reference fact sheets. The home page was developed to facilitate the exchange of P2 ideas among members of the U-M community, as well as other institutions involved in similar types of research and teaching activities. The P2 home page will be reviewed annually and upgraded as necessary.
